Neil Harkavy

Neil Harkavy’s practice primarily involves real estate and mortgage related transactions. He has extensive knowledge and experience on a broad range of real estate and commercial lending issues, including the use of traditional mortgage and construction loans, deeds of trust, conduit loans, Freddie Mac loans, and other available forms of financing. He has developed considerable expertise in representing commercial, multi-family and residential lenders and borrowers, purchasers and sellers and in title examination and title insurance issues. Although a substantial amount of Neil’s real estate and secured lending work is provided to clients within Memphis and the Mid-South, he often provides legal services on multi-state, regional and national transactions. He is a title insurance agent licensed in the State of Tennessee and approved by all major title insurance companies. Neil received his B.A. from Tulane University, and his J.D. from Touro College School of Law.

  • Closed several billion dollars of Multifamily, Shopping Center, and other commercial loans.
  • Negotiated leases of more than 10 million square feet of commercial spaces in shopping centers, mixed use projects and offices.
  • Closed hundreds of Conduit, Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac loans on Multifamily and Student Housing projects.
